'Tis the Season!: Premier Choir Winter Concert
On December 14th, 2008, BCC's Premier Choir gathered at St. Bernards Church in Newton to perform a Winter Concert. Singers and parents alike were very excited to have a concert featuring Premier only so that the PC could showcase all the songs they've been working on this season. Throughout the concert, PC sang some old favorites like "Uberlebensgroß" and premiered plently of new pieces, a favorite being, "Come Sunday." The acoustics in the church were wonderful and the audience, comprised of old friends and people seeing BCC for the first time, was warm and engaged. Singers had a chance to mingle with audience members in a post-concert reception, and with it being PC's final concert before MLK weekend, a flurry of excitment hung in the air.
BCC Winter Concert!
On December 13th, eight of BCC's choirs gathered at historic Faneuil Hall to present a Winter Concert. They were joined by The Back Bay Ringers and had a wonderful audience of all ages. It was a long day for the intermediate and advanced choirs as they performed a 11:00 and 2:00 concert, but the singers handled it wonderfully. December 13th also marked BCC founder Hubie Jones' birthday! BCC was very glad to see him at the concert and sang him a spirited rendition of the birthday song.
