On Thursday, November 19th, Eric Banks visited Premier Choir rehearsal. Last spring, BCC commissioned Eric to write a piece that would further our connection with Arabic Music. Eric created "A New Alphabet" a song that combines text in Arabic and English, in which all of the letters of the Arabic alphabet are used. "A New Alphabet" is a challenging piece and working with Eric gave us great insight into his thought process and helped us take the piece to a new level of understanding. Look forward to our December Newsletter for more information on our collaboration with Eric Banks!
